I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Crime rate is something to consider -Linthicum sits at 1,338.5 per 100K. Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The dating scene scene is improving
The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Urban sprawl is real
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
