Most overrated things about Linton Hall

Anyone else feel this way? Born and raised here. With a population of 42,077, Linton Hall is a smaller city. You can expect to pay around $2,613 for rent here. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What are your go-to spots? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Oak Park. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Hope this helps!.
