Should I move to Linton Hall or stay in Austin?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Homes are going for about $594,200 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Linton Hall sits at 49.9 per 100K. Poverty rate is 0.8%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $2,613/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. the quality of life is solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 2 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is challenging.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Good luck with whatever you decide..
