Is Linwood getting better or worse?

I've been here for 6 years and Average temperature is around 57--F, so the weather is moderate. With a population of 6,954, Linwood is a small town. Household incomes average around $135,904 in Linwood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Am I overthinking this? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value food scene, you'll love it. The community vibe is genuinely tough and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Highland) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
