Random thought, Household incomes average around $47,500 in Litchfield. With a population of 1,391, Litchfield is a small town. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Came here for school and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The housing market is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Chicago about 9 years ago. The main reasons were school and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Affordable housing options
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are established, gas is underrated.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. No regrets on my end..
