Moving to Litchfield with kids -good idea?

First post here. Born and raised here. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Am I overthinking this?

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The community vibe is genuinely pretty good and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Meadowbrook) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Limited shopping options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Hot take but the quality of life is solid. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Salt Lake City it's excellent.

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is outdoor recreation. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for retirement and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The cultural scene is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
