OK so I'm single, late 20s, and Median household income is $54,982, which feels on the lower side for the area. Average temperature is around 60--F, so the weather is moderate. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. What do you all think? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much reasonable but now it's excellent.

I've lived in Westside for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons
- The safety scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Property taxes are high
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Happy to answer more specific questions..

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in North area are better than expected. Kids love it here.

I've been living here for 8 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The nightlife is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..
