Is it worth buying in Little Canada?

Hey everyone, I'm single, late 40s, and The median home value here is around $302,600, which seems about average. Median household income is $71,370, which feels about average for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,350 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 10,546 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What would you do? Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in North. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in legal. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Southern.
