Job market in Little Chute for tech?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm retired and With a population of 11,930, Little Chute is a small town. The unemployment rate is 1.3%, which is pretty low. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I wrong here? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a sales manager, 44, moved here 2 years ago from Pittsburgh. I've lived in Uptown and Eastside, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Lots of new development happening
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally surprisingly good - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Urban sprawl is real
2. Limited shopping options
3. The healthcare situation is developing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Uptown: Great for remote workers. solid vibes, walkable.
- Eastside: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Pittsburgh, everything felt excellent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are pricey. Gas is pricey. You can live comfortably on $90K-$110K here.

**Final verdict:**
Feel free to reach out with questions.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I love the pace of life here.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Highland. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in finance. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Hope this helps!.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cultural scene. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 13 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in real estate. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
