Couple moving to Little Elm from out of state

Hey everyone, Born and raised here. Household incomes average around $116,036 in Little Elm. Homes are going for about $390,300 on average. Rent is about $1,900/month for a decent place. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What do you all think? Thanks for reading. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 9 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if nightlife matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 7 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I'm a pharmacist and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.

I've been here 9 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is solid.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Pittsburgh it's improving.

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Greenfield area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The job market scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Nightlife is limited

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. Hope this helps!.

Used to live on the South side, now on the West side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.
