Moving to Little Ferry with kids -good idea?
Been meaning to ask this. My family moved here when I was a kid. The unemployment rate is 5.2%, which is about average. Average temperature is around 55--F, so the weather is moderate. You can expect to pay around $1,798 for rent here. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Would love some local perspective. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
