Anyone else love living in Little Rock?

Anyone else feel this way? Born and raised here. Average temperature is around 64°F, so the weather is moderate. With a population of 203K, Little Rock is a mid-size city. Crime rate is something to consider — Little Rock sits at 1,516.8 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. What are your go-to spots? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a pharmacist, 26, moved here 10 years ago from Miami. I've lived in Riverside and Lakewood, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Cost of living is very reasonable
2. Good schools in most areas
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally challenging - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Road conditions need improvement
2. Limited shopping options
3. The school system situation is developing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Riverside: Great for retirees. decent vibes, walkable.
- Lakewood: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Miami, everything felt excellent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are growing. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $40K-$110K here.

**Final verdict:**
Happy to answer more specific questions.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Portland it's improving.
