Cost of living reality check — Little Rock

I'm originally from Sacramento and The median home value here is around $221,200, which is actually reasonable. It's a a mid-size city city with about 203K people. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Has anyone dealt with this? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 8 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into running, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
