The good and bad of living in Livermore

Hey everyone, Average temperature is around 57--F, so the weather is moderate. With a population of 85,870, Livermore is a smaller city. Crime rate is something to consider -Livermore sits at 211.1 per 100K. Rent is about $2,640/month for a decent place. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 10 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into running, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
