Livingston quality of life -am I missing something?

So, Household incomes average around $65,187 in Livingston. It's a a small town city with about 8,635 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. Any help is appreciated. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Midtown for 7 years. Moved from Pittsburgh for a job opportunity. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2024 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
real estate is strong here. tech is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have hiking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Midtown schools are decent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Urban sprawl is real. Property taxes are high. And public transit can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 9/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Seattle about 11 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are affordable, gas is excellent.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Miami about 7 years ago. The main reasons were weather and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are established, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Definitely worth checking out..
