Hey everyone, I relocated for work and Rent is about $1,284/month for a decent place. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What are your go-to spots? Thanks for reading. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Four distinct seasons
- The cost of living scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Property taxes are high
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Came here for school and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The cost of living is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
