Median household income is $106,328, which feels pretty solid for the area. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Should I be concerned? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I've lived in Fairview for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The safety scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited public transit options
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. Hope this helps!.

Public transit is excellent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.
