Best neighborhoods to rent in Lockhart?
Random thought, It's a a small town city with about 14,753 people. Worth the trade-offs?

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much manageable but now it's pretty good.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Old Town. It's solid for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in finance. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.
People: Generally improving. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like seafood.
