Hey everyone, Crime rate is something to consider -Lockport sits at 82.1 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 26,228 people. Poverty rate is 4.7%, which is pretty low. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Does this match your experience? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
