Things that make Lockport unique

Alright, Born and raised here. Household incomes average around $113,252 in Lockport. Crime rate is something to consider -Lockport sits at 82.1 per 100K. The median home value here is around $298,800, which seems about average. Rent is about $1,503/month for a decent place. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What would you do? The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. weather used to be much established but now it's underrated.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 10 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Used to live on the Springfield side, now on the West side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
