Lockport housing prices -when will it stop?

Longtime lurker here, I'm originally from Houston and Average temperature is around 49--F, so expect cold winters. The median home value here is around $131,800, which is actually reasonable. It's a a small town city with about 20,699 people. You can expect to pay around $909 for rent here. Rent is about $909/month for a decent place. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Growing food scene
- Close to nature
- Diverse community
- Easy commute

Cons:
- High property taxes
- Lack of diversity
- Poor road conditions
- Limited cultural events
I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to.
