How is Locust Grove for outdoor activities?

Anyone else feel this way? We have two kids and Median household income is $72,563, which feels about average for the area. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Am I wrong here? Looking forward to hearing from you all. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I've lived in Midtown for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The housing market scene is solid

The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely improving and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (North) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Boston, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Limited high-paying job options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'm a real estate agent and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. The community is solid and there's always something going on.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The community vibe scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
