Couple moving to Lodi from out of state

Hey everyone, Just moved here 1 months ago and It's a a smaller city city with about 67,008 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Lodi sits at 350.5 per 100K. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Does this match your experience? The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to New York it's improving.

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.
