Born and raised here. Rent is about $1,565/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 5.7%, which is about average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Is this normal for Lodi? Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
