Unpopular opinion about Lodi

Hi all, I'm a 25-year-old firefighter and Rent is about $1,675/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 55--F, so the weather is moderate. Poverty rate is 14.3%, which is around average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Thoughts? Thanks! Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Nashville it's hit or miss.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Phoenix about 1 years ago. The main reasons were work and weather.

Pros I've experienced:

- Lots of new development happening

- Four distinct seasons

- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:

- Winters are long and cold

- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are established, gas is underrated.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Definitely worth checking out..
