So, The unemployment rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What would you do? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I've lived in South for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- The public transit scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Bugs and humidity in summer
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Happy to answer more specific questions..

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Riverside area are excellent. Kids love it here.
