Planning a move to Loma Linda -neighborhoods?

Curious what people think. Should I be concerned? Thanks!

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 14 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Chicago about 5 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Affordable housing options
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are developing, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Hope this helps!.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely solid and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (Springfield) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Raleigh, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The housing market is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cost of living, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. Happy to answer more specific questions..
