Cheapest neighborhoods in Lombard?

Hey, My family moved here when I was a kid. Median household income is $97,253, which feels pretty solid for the area. Homes are going for about $321,200 on average. With a population of 43,722, Lombard is a smaller city. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Does this match your experience? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from San Diego about 12 years ago. The main reasons were family and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is excellent.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much developing but now it's pretty good.
