Alright, Household incomes average around $92,920 in Lomita. The median home value here is around $792,100, which is pretty steep. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Bought a house here in 2018 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone about the same since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Pine Hills. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in marketing. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like seafood.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. it exceeded my expectations. Worth doing your research before committing.
