Planning a move to Londonderry -neighborhoods?

My family moved here when I was a kid. Household incomes average around $113,109 in Londonderry. It's a a small town city with about 12,307 people. You can expect to pay around $1,917 for rent here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Does this match your experience? The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Came here for school and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The cultural scene is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from LA about 3 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are stable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 13 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
