Leaving Columbus for Long Beach - talk me into/out of it

Quick one -

My wife and I moved here from Tampa about 5 years ago. Grocery prices are creeping up but still manageable.

Home prices averaging is {home_feel}. Property values in El Dorado Park went up 4% last year alone.

The food scene in Belmont Heights is honestly incredible. I feel like Long Beach is becoming more expensive without getting better.

Hit me with your honest opinions.

Parent of two in Belmont Heights. Schools are solid here. The {industry} scene here is really picking up.. Would recommend visiting before deciding.

Great question. Here's my honest take after 7 years:

The good:
- Easy to meet people
- Good healthcare options
- Good farmers markets

The not-so-good:
- Chain restaurants everywhere
- Water quality concerns

Traffic has gotten noticeably worse in the past year.. I'd say for remote workers, Long Beach is solid. Feel free to ask specifics.

Born here, left for 10 years, came back. I don't understand why more people don't talk about {hood}.. The city has transformed a lot.
