Moving to Long Beach solo - advice?
Hey,
I'm a 35-year-old travel nurse who's been in Long Beach for 8 years. I keep discovering new spots even after 8 years.
Unemployment at 4.3% is {unemp_feel}. Home prices averaging is {home_feel}.
What I like:
- Four seasons
- Active community events
- Good airport
- Strong arts and culture scene
- Good farmers markets
What I don't:
- Not very walkable
- Chain restaurants everywhere
- Water quality concerns
- Wind never stops
Public transit is fine if you live near a line - you'll want a car. Cost of living is about the same compared to where I came from.
