Anyone else feel this way? Homes are going for about $788,900 on average. The unemployment rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Should I be concerned?

I've lived in Highland for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- The community vibe scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Rising rent and home prices
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is food scene. I love the pace of life here. Worth doing your research before committing.
