Is public transit usable in Long Grove?

Curious what people think. Average temperature is around 48--F, so expect cold winters. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. Would love some local perspective. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Miami about 8 years ago. The main reasons were weather and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are manageable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
