Affordable areas near Long Hill CDP (Greater Bridgeport County)?

Random thought, Born and raised here. It's a a small town city with about 8,597 people. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Am I overthinking this? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much reasonable but now it's excellent.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in The Heights. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in education. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
