Hi all, Just moved here 4 months ago and Household incomes average around $95,972 in Long Lake. The unemployment rate is 1.3%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Would love some local perspective.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in South for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Four distinct seasons
- The job market scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Dating scene is rough
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..
