What I wish I knew before living in Long Neck

I'm a teacher here and Rent is about $872/month for a decent place. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. What would you do? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Bought a house here in 2022 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Midtown area are hit or miss. Kids love it here.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Portland it's tough.

Used to live on the West side, now on the Cedar Grove side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.
