Best neighborhoods to rent in Longview?

Random thought, My family moved here when I was a kid. With a population of 82,765, Longview is a smaller city. Poverty rate is 13.2%, which is around average. You can expect to pay around $1,061 for rent here. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Friendly people
- Nice parks and trails
- Low taxes

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Hot summers
- Limited nightlife
- Limited dining options
- Boring for young people
Any advice would be great. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Chicago about 1 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are growing, gas is decent.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Definitely worth checking out..
