Not sure if this has been asked before, but Homes are going for about $182,700 on average. Average temperature is around 68--F, so the weather is moderate. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What do you all think?

Bought a house here in 2019 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value school system, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely better than expected and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from New York, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I work in engineering here and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The job market for my field is tough. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 2 years here, that's my honest assessment.
