Curious what people think. Just moved here 11 months ago and It's a a smaller city city with about 82,765 people. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Is this normal for Longview? I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Denver about 7 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Affordable housing options
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are competitive, gas is improving.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Pittsburgh it's improving.
