Is it worth buying in Longview?

I'm retired and Crime rate is something to consider -Longview sits at 263.8 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,119 for rent here. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Has anyone dealt with this?

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is challenging in most areas.
