Is public transit usable in Lorain?

Random thought, I've been here for 17 years and Poverty rate is 21.0%, which is higher than I expected. Rent is about $839/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $45,799 in Lorain. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. What are your go-to spots? The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. I work in construction here and I love the pace of life here. The job market for my field is challenging. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've lived in Riverside for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The outdoor recreation scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Dating scene is rough
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
