Best coffee shops in Los Altos?

OK so I work in legal and The median home value here is around $2,000,001, which is pretty steep. The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $250,001, which feels pretty solid for the area. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Appreciate any input. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely tough and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Sunset) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from New York, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in Springfield for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The food scene scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Feel free to reach out with questions..
