Alright, Just moved here 16 months ago and The median home value here is around $2,000,001, which is pretty steep. With a population of 30,736, Los Altos is a smaller city. Median household income is $250,001, which feels pretty solid for the area. Rent is about $3,501/month for a decent place. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. What are your go-to spots? The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The cultural scene scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Definitely worth checking out..
