Working remotely from Los Angeles — my experience

I've been working remotely from Los Angeles for 7 years now. Here's my take:

The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.

Cost of living: a bit high but manageable
Internet: Decent, getting better with new providers
Coworking spaces: Limited but the library works in a pinch

If you're looking for a place to WFH, Los Angeles is underrated for remote workers.

My kids love it here. So many parks and activities. Great value for the money.

Downtown is overrated and overpriced. The suburbs offer way better value.

Respectfully disagree about the safety concerns. In my experience, it's been pretty safe in my area.

I work in finance and finding a job wasn't hard. Took about 2 months.

Been here 20 years. The city has changed a lot but overall for the better.
