Hey, Rent is about $1,157/month for a decent place. Median household income is $63,696, which feels about average for the area. The median home value here is around $232,700, which is actually reasonable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Would love some local perspective. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a contractor who relocated here from Denver about 11 years ago. The main reasons were work and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Nightlife is limited
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is underrated.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.
I've been here 13 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is hit or miss.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
