Weekend activities in Loudon?

Longtime lurker here, There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely average and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (The Heights) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely pretty good and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Highland) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. walkability used to be much reasonable but now it's solid.
