Biggest downsides of living in Loudonville?

Hi all, I'm a college student here and Rent is about $1,891/month for a decent place. With a population of 10,274, Loudonville is a small town. It's a a small town city with about 10,274 people. Poverty rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's been a really good experience overall. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much developing but now it's solid.
