Relocating to Loves Park, IL -pros and cons?

Hey everyone, I'm originally from Cleveland and Crime rate is something to consider -Loves Park sits at 318.1 per 100K. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. What do you all think? Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.
