What Lowell does better than anywhere else

OK so Military spouse here. Poverty rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $83,125, which feels pretty solid for the area. Homes are going for about $236,900 on average. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Anyone in a similar situation? The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Bought a house here in 2019 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone down slightly since then.
